Every ring starts from your strap width, sample or drawing and is confirmed before mold development, so the opening, section shape and plating all match the bag it goes on. Sizing is where ring projects succeed or fail. The inner opening has to match the strap width with just enough clearance — too tight and the strap will not feed, too loose and it slides and twists. The wire section is the other decision: a round section lets straps swing and feed smoothly, while a flat section sits flush against the panel and reads more refined; both are sized to the pull the ring actually carries. Plating is chosen for the contact points where the strap and fittings rub, and whether the structure runs as a fully closed casting or an open-gap profile is confirmed against the load before tooling.

How do I size a D-ring or O-ring?
Start from the strap width: the inner opening needs a little clearance so the strap feeds and sits straight, without so much room that it slides and twists. Send the strap width or a sample and we size the opening to it.
Round section or flat section — which should I choose?
